Scope note
Distinct from "outline drawings" in that the lines in contour drawings also follow major spatial edges within an outline; distinct from "contour maps," which delineate contours at regular intervals of elevation; distinct from "cross-countour drawings," in which the lines follow contours across the surface of the form.
